“Narrenturm” Mindgame: Mindworm Blaster

In this situated game a “Neuromatic mindobject” takes the stage: a non-human actor that feeds on human input data. 300,000 data points, recorded from a player with a professional 32-channel EEG in the research project Neuromatic Game Art, grow an organic structure in code that keeps evolving.

I built the web-based 3D experience: pre-recorded brainwave data animates two “mindworms” that eat away at a building over time. It is on view in the Artificial Museum, in augmented reality and in the browser.
