Grounded Birds

Grounded Birds is a multiplayer RPG about the tragic fate of birds: robbed of their ability to fly, they have become easy prey for the other inhabitants of their world. You join a group of brave hatchlings making a last stand to save the birds from extinction, in a quirky, playful world with darker influences from games like Diablo 2.

  • Move, hop and explore. Without flight, you get around by running and hopping on things, and predators wait around every corner.
  • Gear up and fight. Collect a wide variety of gear to protect your feathers from hungry enemies; magical items give you abilities to cast.
  • Level up. Put points into strength, speed, luck and more. With the items you prefer, that makes you a unique member of your team.

I made it mostly alone. A demo is out and the game was shown in the Gamescom Indie section, but I couldn’t secure funding to finish it, so it is parked for now.
